Requesting A Lost Password

If a user has forgotten their password when attempting to log into QB, they may request it using the Forgotten Password ? link on the logon page. This then presents a screen where the user must enter both their user ID and E-Mail address. This combination must be set up within the QB User Maintenance screen to allow the user to retrieve their password details successfully :

If an invalid User ID / E-Mail address combination is entered, a message is displayed and the user is asked to re-enter the information. Once a successful combination has been entered, the following screen is displayed. At this point, the E-Mail is then sent and the user can return to the QB logon screen :

An E-Mail is also sent to each address listed for QB support recording the fact that the user requested their password details.

Please note :

The Forgotten Password ? prompt only appears on the QB logon page if the E-Mail address for support queries field is filled in via Query System Details Maintenance.
